Our performance at the Old Capitol Art and Living History Festival on September 9, 2023 is coming up. Mark Mott is the coordinator/gig manager. He can be reached at https://utaholdtimefiddlers.org/contact/. Thank you Mark!
Our performance time is 12 noon to 5 pm; with a one hour break from 1-2 pm. We will be playing under a covered pavilion. Mark will bring a sound system. Food trucks will be available.
The location is on the grounds of the Territorial Statehouse State Park and Museum
The address in Fillmore is 50 West Capitol Street Fillmore, Utah 84631
Visit oldcapitolfestivals.com for a good overview of the types of activities included in the festival.
Mark is planning to make a gig playlist and post it on a large poster board. To help with planning, he requests an RSVP from people who plan to attend. He suggests that you bring yourself a comfortable camp chair (although there will be chairs for audience, and hopefully for performers).
UOTF state funds will provide water and $20 to each performer to allow you to purchase some food from vendors at the event.
This event highlights “arts and living history” so we are encouraged to share our history of UOTF and the songs. We also intend to have some audience interaction; with possible teaching and encouragement of audience members to get involved in old time fiddle and country music. So this gig will have some informal time for sharing. We will work out more details; your input is appreciated.
